Job summary

Emma – The Sleep Company is seeking an intern for our P&O Excellence team to build automations and tools that simplify HR processes. You’ll gain exposure to HR domains and grow your technical skills in a small, international team.

You’ll work on Power Automate-based automations, collaborate with teammates, and apply AI tools to improve efficiency while documenting your solutions for easy future use.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English.
• Studying or degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Informatics, Business Administration or related field.
• Experience with Power Automate or coding in TypeScript, Python or PowerShell; curious about AI tools.
• Work in a structured way; pay attention to detail; communicate openly; meet timelines; flag blockers early.
• Confidential handling of HR data in line with compliance.
• Willing to learn, explain technical topics clearly, and take on ownership over time.

Responsibilities

• Build automations and tools using Power Automate and code, based on clearly defined requirements.
• Collaborate with users to gather feedback and maintain/improve solutions with guidance.
• Use AI tools to work more efficiently and explore new approaches to problem solving.
• Document the solutions so others can understand and maintain them.
• Gain exposure to HR areas from Talent Acquisition to People Development through process and automation.

Are you passionate about technology and curious about the inner workings of HR? At Emma, we’re looking for a motivated intern to join our P&O Excellence team within People & Organization. In this role, you’ll help build automations and tools that make our HR processes simpler, faster and more reliable. You’ll gain broad exposure to different HR domains and grow your technical skills in a small, collaborative team.

What you’ll do:

• You will support our P&O teams by building automations and tools using Power Automate and code, based on clearly defined requirements.
• You will collaborate with the colleagues who use our solutions, gather their feedback and help maintain and improve existing solutions with guidance from the team.
• You will use AI tools to work more efficiently and explore new approaches to problem solving.
• You will document the solutions you work on, so they are easy for others to understand and maintain.
• You will learn from experienced colleagues how to analyse requests, identify root causes and design sustainable solutions, while gaining exposure to HR areas from Talent Acquisition to People Development through the lens of processes and automation.

Who we're looking for:

• You are fluent in English
• You are currently studying, or have completed a degree in, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Informatics, Business Administration or a related field.
• You have some experience with Power Automate or with coding in TypeScript, Python or PowerShell, and you are curious about using AI tools to solve real-world challenges.
• You work in a structured way, pay attention to detail, communicate openly and deliver on agreed timelines, flagging potential blockers early.
• You treat data confidentiality seriously and handle HR data with care, in line with our compliance and confidentiality guidelines.
• You ask thoughtful questions, explain technical topics in clear and simple language, and enjoy understanding why a process is not working as intended, with the motivation to take on more ownership over time.
