Thales TBSS in Paço de Arcos, Portugal, is seeking an Accounts Payable Analyst to process domestic and international payments, ensure internal controls and banking compliance, and maintain vendor and bank master data in SAP. You will collaborate with AP, Treasury and Accounting to ensure smooth end-to-end payment cycles and continual process improvements.

The ideal candidate holds a finance-related degree, has experience in payments or finance operations in an international setting, strong Excel

• Strong understanding of payment processes, banking platforms, and financial controls.

• Monitor payment queues, investigate rejected or returned payments, and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain and update vendor and bank master data in SAP or other ERP systems.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (AP, Treasury, Accounting) to ensure smooth end-to-end payment cycles.
• Support payment process improvements and contribute to automation and system enhancement initiatives.

Main Responsibilities

• Process and execute domestic and international payments accurately and in a timely manner;
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and banking regulations;

• Maintain and update vendor and bank master data in SAP or other ERP systems;
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (AP, Treasury, Accounting) to ensure smooth end-to-end payment cycles;
• Support payment process improvements and contribute to automation and system enhancement initiatives.

Main Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field;
• Experience in Payments, Accounts Payable, or Finance Operations within an international environment;
• Strong understanding of payment processes, banking platforms, and financial controls;
• Proficiency in SAP (FI/AP modules preferred) or other ERP systems; Solid Excel skills;
• Fluent in English (both written and spoken);
• Additional European languages are a plus.
