Job summary

Thales Group in Paço de Arcos, Portugal, is seeking a Payments Specialist to process domestic and international payments in a timely and accurate manner. You will ensure compliance with controls and banking regulations while maintaining master data in SAP or other ERP systems.

You will collaborate with AP, Treasury and Accounting to ensure end-to-end payment cycles, and contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives within a global finance function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or related field.
• Experience in payments, accounts payable, or finance operations in an international environment.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Process and execute domestic and international payments accurately and in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and banking regulations.
• Monitor payment queues, investigate rejected or returned payments, and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain and update vendor and bank master data in SAP or other ERP systems.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (AP, Treasury, Accounting) to ensure smooth end-to-end payment cycles.
• Support payment process improvements and contribute to automation and system enhancement initiatives.
