Job summary

Andaz Lisbon, a Hyatt Hotels property, is seeking a talented Chef de Partie - Pastry to lead the pastry section and deliver high-quality desserts and confections for a luxury hotel setting. You will collaborate with the Executive Chef and pastry leadership to develop new concepts, oversee inventory and cost control, and mentor junior team members.

Qualifications

• :
• Culinary qualification in Pastry Arts or equivalent professional experience.
• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie - Pastry or in a luxury hotel, fine dining restaurant, or high-volume premium operation.
• Strong technical pastry skills with expertise in modern dessert preparation, baking techniques, and presentation.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP procedures, and kitchen best practices.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• A creative mindset combined with a strong focus on consistency and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, produce, and present a wide range of pastries, desserts, cakes, breads, chocolates, and other sweet creations in accordance with established recipes and brand standards.
• Take ownership of the pastry section, ensuring smooth daily operations and maintaining the highest levels of quality and consistency.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Pastry leadership team in developing innovative dessert concepts, seasonal menus, and signature pastry offerings.
• Ensure all products are prepared and presented to luxury hospitality standards, with exceptional attention to detail and aesthetics.
• Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory management, ordering, and cost control within the pastry section.
• Train, mentor, and support Commis Chefs and junior team members, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation while adhering to all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
• Support the pastry operation for special events, banquets, private functions, and festive seasonal offerings.
• Contribute ideas for continuous improvement, innovation, and elevated guest experiences across all pastry outlets.

We are looking for a talented and passionate Chef de Partie - Pastry to join our Culinary team at Andaz Lisbon.
