Andaz Lisbon, Hyatt’s luxury lifestyle hotel in Lisbon, is seeking a motivated Commis Chef to join our culinary team. You will support the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef, contributing to daily kitchen operations and upholding the highest standards of food quality, presentation and hygiene.

Ideal candidates have a culinary qualification or are training, basic food-prep knowledge, and an understanding of food safety.

Qualificações

• Culinary qualification or in progress (preferred).
• Previous professional kitchen experience is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of food prep techniques and kitchen operations.
• Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes according to established recipes and hotel standards.
• Support senior chefs in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen.
• Ensure ingredients are properly prepared, stored, and labelled in accordance with food safety procedures.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and hygiene throughout the kitchen and storage areas.
• Assist with receiving deliveries and monitoring stock levels within the assigned section.
• Prepare mise en place efficiently to support smooth service operations.
• Follow all food safety, HACCP, and health and safety regulations.
• Support banquet operations, special events, and private functions as required.
• Continuously develop culinary knowledge and skills through on‑job learning and training opportunities.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
