eXalt Fi in Portugal seeks a Middle Office professional to join the fund valuation chain, collaborating daily with portfolio managers, custodians and fund administrators. You will be responsible for NAV checks, settlement, corporate actions, and reporting, with a strong emphasis on process controls and automation.

The role requires around 4 years in Middle Office or related areas, fluent French and proficient English, and a willingness to travel occasionally to Paris from Portugal.

Qualificações

• Around 4 years in Middle Office, fund accounting or fund operations.
• Hands-on NAV calculation or control, and securities/cash reconciliations.
• Fluent French (mandatory) and professional English.
• Experience with settlement, corporate actions and break management.
• Advanced Excel; VBA or Python for automation a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Check fund NAVs and follow up securities and cash breaks with the fund administrator.
• Process portfolio managers' instructions, monitor trade settlement with brokers and custodians.
• Monitor corporate actions with the data management team, clear custodian breaks and instruct managers' elections.
• Automate production files and maintain the reporting static data.
• Perform first-level controls with Internal Control and keep procedures up to date.

Our client, a Paris-based asset management company, is strengthening its Middle Office team. You will sit at the heart of the fund valuation chain, working daily with portfolio managers, custodians and the fund administrator.

French is mandatory: the team, managers and procedures operate in French.

• Fund Valuation: Check fund NAVs and follow up securities and cash breaks with the fund administrator.
• Settlement: Process portfolio managers' instructions, monitor trade settlement with brokers and custodians, control cash and securities accounts, track CSDR penalties.
• Corporate Actions: Monitor corporate actions with the data management team, clear custodian breaks and instruct managers' elections.
• Reporting: Automate production files and maintain the reporting static data.
• Controls: With Internal Control, run first-level checks on investment ratios and threshold crossings, and keep procedures up to date.
• Experience: Around 4 years in Middle Office, fund accounting or fund operations (asset manager, custodian or fund administrator).
• Valuation: Hands-on NAV calculation or control, and securities / cash reconciliations.
• Post-trade: Settlement, corporate actions and break management.
• Tools: Advanced Excel; VBA or Python for automation is a plus.
• Languages: Fluent French (mandatory), professional English.
• Location: Based in Portugal with the right to work in Portugal, available for occasional trips to Paris.
