Job summary

Access Talent Group is seeking a Mechanical Foreman to lead installation activities on a major Data Centre project in Lisbon, Portugal. The role focuses on supervising mechanical trades, coordinating with electrical and CSA teams, and delivering works safely and to a high standard.

The successful candidate will read drawings, manage subcontractors, monitor progress against the programme, and support testing, commissioning and handover.

Mechanical Foreman – Data Centre Project – Lisbon, Portugal

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Foreman to join a major Data Centre project in Lisbon, Portugal.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for supervising and coordinating mechanical installation works on site, managing trades and subcontractors, and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate mechanical installation activities on site.
• Manage mechanical trades and subcontractors, ensuring productivity and quality standards are maintained.
• Oversee the installation of HVAC, pipework and associated mechanical systems.
• Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Coordinate mechanical works with electrical, CSA and other project disciplines.
• Monitor progress against the construction programme and help identify and resolve potential delays.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and quality across all mechanical works.
• Carry out site inspections and resolve installation issues as they arise.
• Support testing, commissioning, snagging and project handover.
• Liaise closely with Site Managers, Engineers, Supervisors and subcontractors throughout the project.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Foreman or Mechanical Supervisor.
• Strong mechanical background within commercial, industrial or large-scale construction projects.
• Experience supervising mechanical trades and subcontractors.
• Good knowledge of HVAC, pipework and mechanical building services.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• A proactive approach and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced site environment.
• Previous data centre experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
