Job summary

Emma – The Sleep Company in Lisbon is seeking a legal internship to join a driven international team. You’ll assist with research, drafting, governance tasks, and compliance, focusing on GDPR and data protection. The role is 6 to 9 months with a monthly salary of 1250€ and EU-wide benefits.

We value attention to detail, strong English communication, and the ability to work independently or in a team. Bachelor’s in Law or Paralegal Studies required; MS Office and document management experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law or Paralegal Studies completed.
• Strong understanding of contract law, litigation and data protection (GDPR knowledge is a plus).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in English.
• Attention to detail and organizational abilities; able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Research, document drafting, project coordination and governance compliance.
• Assist with consumer litigation, prepare case materials and draft legal documents.
• Maintain corporate records, file with authorities and support governance compliance.
• Ensure GDPR compliance, handle DSRs, conduct internal audits, and monitor laws.
• Draft, review and manage influencer contracts and NDAs, process invoices and budgets.

What you'll do :

• You will contribute to research, document drafting, project coordination, and ensure compliance with corporate governance.
• You will assist with consumer litigation, including preparing case materials, conducting legal research, and drafting legal documents.
• You will maintain corporate records, file documents with relevant authorities, and support compliance with governance requirements.
• You will ensure compliance with data protection regulations, handle Data Subject Requests (DSRs), conduct internal audits, and ensure adherence to GDPR and other laws.
• You will draft, review, and manage influencer contracts and Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), process legal invoices, and monitor legal budgets.

Who we are looking for :

• You recently completed a bachelor's degree in Law or Paralegal Studies.
• You have a strong understanding of legal principles in contract law, litigation, and data protection (GDPR knowledge is a plus).
• You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• You are proficient in English.
• You demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• You have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• You are proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and document management systems.
• You have previous work experience ( which is a plus ) and are available for 6 to 9 months.
