Mo Ongy in Lisbon seeks a Junior Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. You will monitor customer accounts, follow up on overdue payments, and support billing activities from the central Lisbon office.

The role starts on-site in Lisbon for the first six months and moves to a hybrid model thereafter. Fluent English, a relevant finance qualification, and experience with Excel and ERP systems are preferred.

In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring customer accounts, following up on overdue payments, managing payment commitments, and supporting the resolution of billing discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage customer accounts receivable balances;
• Contact customers regarding overdue payments and outstanding invoices;
• Follow up on payment commitments and ensure timely collection;
• Assist in investigatingand resolving billing and invoicing discrepancies;
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and collection activities;
• Update information in ERP systems and internal databases;
• Collaborate with internal teams to support effective collection processes.

What We Are Looking For

• Degree or vocational qualification in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (preferred);
• Candidates with a high school diploma and relevant experience in accounts receivable, collections, or administrative roles will also be considered;
• Strong digital skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel;
• Experience using ERP systems or other business management tools;
• Ability to quickly adapt to new systems and digital processes;
• Fluent English is mandatory;
• Strong communication and organizational skills;
• Results-oriented mindset and problem-solving abilities;
• Proactive attitude, attention to detail, and team spirit.
