Hexa is seeking a Senior Java Spring Batch Developer in Lisbon to join our enterprise engineering team. The role focuses on designing, implementing and optimizing batch processing and backend components within a financial services context.

You will work in a hybrid model with two days in the Lisbon office, collaborating with international teams to deliver reliable, scalable systems for high-volume transactions. Strong Java/Spring Batch skills and English proficiency are required.

• 6 to 9 years of professional experience in Java development, including substantial experience with backend systems and batch processing.
• Higher education in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven ability to independently deliver complex technical solutions in enterprise environments.
• Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to troubleshooting, performance optimization and data integrity.
• Professional working proficiency in English, equivalent to B2/C1 or above.
• Experience working with Agile teams and collaborating with international stakeholders.
• Effective communication, attention to detail and a proactive, collaborative approach.
• Availability to work in Lisbon under a hybrid model, with two days per week at the office.

Responsabilidades

• - Spring Batch readers, writers and metadata management.
• - Backend development and microservices architecture.
• - Relational databases, particularly Oracle or PostgreSQL.
• - Advanced SQL, query optimization, transaction management and high-volume data processing.
• - CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using Jenkins, XL Deploy, XL Release or equivalent tools.
• - Automated testing, debugging, performance profiling and code quality practices.
• - Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, with Jira.

NICE TO HAVE

• - Frontend development experience with Angular and fullstack application development.
• - Professional working proficiency in French.
