Job summary

Aubay Portugal is seeking a senior AI/ML-focused software engineer for a hybrid role in Lisbon or Porto. You will research, test, and develop AI-powered solutions, design AI agents, and optimize token usage across implementations.

The position requires 6+ years as software/web developer or ML consultant, with Node.js or Python proficiency, experience in RAG systems, and vector databases. English and French at C1 are valued.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience as Software/Web Developer or ML Consultant
• Proficiency in Node.js or Python for AI development
• Hands-on with AI agent creation and deployment including RAG systems
• Experience with vector databases and embeddings
• Knowledge of prompts and token optimization
• Ability to integrate multiple LLM providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google)
• Advanced proficiency in English and French (C1)

Responsibilities

• Research, test, and develop AI-powered solutions and applications.
• Design, create, and deploy advanced AI agents.
• Optimize token usage across AI implementations for cost efficiency.
• Maintain and evolve Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.
• Develop and manage vector databases and embedding solutions for semantic search.
• Integrate and orchestrate multiple LLM providers.
