Job summary

Accenture is seeking Mid-Senior AI Engineers to design and operate AI-powered platforms in Lisbon. You will contribute to development, monitoring, and continuous improvement of AI solutions, ensuring reliability and scalability across environments.

The role requires hands-on experience with AI, Python, LLMs, vector databases, and cloud platforms, with Portuguese and English fluency. Working model is hybrid in Lisbon, Portugal.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in AI, Software Engineering, or related areas.
• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and generative AI ecosystems.
• Strong proficiency in Python and modern software engineering practices.
• Solid understanding of AI application architectures, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Experience with vector databases and semantic search solutions.
• Knowledge of agentic frameworks, tool calling, and orchestration patterns.
• Understanding of AI safety, evaluation, monitoring, and guardrails.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Understanding of MLOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and model deployment workflows.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English B2 (minimum).

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and develop AI-powered solutions using state-of-the-art ML and generative AI technologies.
• Build and optimize LLM-based applications, including RAG pipelines and agentic workflows.
• Design and integrate vector databases, prompt engineering strategies, and tool-calling mechanisms.
• Deploy, monitor, and optimize AI systems for performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Apply AI safety, evaluation, and guardrail best practices across AI solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into AI solutions.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and platform scalability initiatives.
