Andaz Lisbon is seeking a professional Houseman to support the housekeeping team in maintaining luxury standards across public and back-of-house areas. You will assist with daily operations, organize carts, and ensure guest spaces remain pristine and well-prepared.

The role requires discretion, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to guest requests. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays is essential in a luxury hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of basic education.
• Previous experience in luxury hospitality or a similar environment is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Professional attitude, discretion, and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Physical capability to lift moderate weights and remain active throughout extended periods.
• Proactive approach and effective communication skills.
• Strong commitment to service excellence and teamwork.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Basic knowledge of English is considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support preparation and organization of housekeeping carts with linens and supplies.
• Collect and distribute linens, towels, amenities, and other supplies to guest rooms and areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of corridors, pantries, service areas, and public spaces.
• Assist with room setup and cleaning during high occupancy periods.
• Move furniture and set up extra beds, cribs, and equipment as requested.
• Respond promptly to guest requests with discretion and professionalism.
• Report maintenance issues, irregularities, or lost-and-found items to supervision.
• Adhere to brand standards, hygiene procedures, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Front Office, and Concierge to ensure seamless guest experiences.

Andaz Lisbon is the second Hyatt - branded hotel in Lisbon.

We are currently looking for a talented Houseman to join our team at Andaz Lisbon!

The Houseman is responsible for supporting the Housekeeping team by ensuring the cleanliness, organization, and replenishment of public and back‑of‑house areas, as well as assisting with daily operations. This role contributes to maintaining all hotel spaces at the highest standards of comfort, cleanliness, and functionality, in line with a luxury lifestyle hotel environment.

In addition to operational responsibilities, the Houseman is expected to act with discretion, respect for guest privacy, and strong attention to detail, ensuring a consistent and carefully curated guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the preparation and organization of housekeeping carts, ensuring linens and supplies are fully stocked.
• Collect and distribute linens, towels, amenities, and other supplies to guest rooms and designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of corridors, floor pantries, service areas, and public spaces.
• Assist with room setup and cleaning during high occupancy periods or when required.
• Move furniture and set up extra beds, cribs, and other equipment as requested.
• Respond promptly to guest requests while maintaining a discreet, courteous, and professional demeanor.
• Report any maintenance issues, irregularities, or lost-and-found items to the appropriate supervisor immediately.
• Adhere strictly to all brand standards, quality requirements, hygiene procedures, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with other hotel departments, including Engineering, Front Office, and Concierge, to ensure a seamless guest experience.
