Job summary

Quinta da Comporta Wellness Boutique Hotel in Grândola is seeking an Executive Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping operation and deliver an exceptional guest experience across rooms, villas and public areas. You will supervise the team, uphold standards, and coordinate with Front Office, Maintenance and other departments to ensure seamless service.

The ideal candidate has solid luxury-hotel housekeeping experience, proven leadership and a keen eye for detail.

Qualifications

• Solid housekeeping experience in a luxury hotel.
• Proven experience managing and developing teams.
• Strong operational, organizational and quality-control skills.
• Eye for detail and presentation.
• Commitment to luxury hospitality and guest experience.
• Excellent communication, judgment and resilience in fast-paced environments.
• Discretion and professionalism.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English; additional languages a plus.
• Hospitality industry experience preferred.

ABOUT THE JOB

As Executive Housekeeper, you will lead the Housekeeping operation at Quinta da Comporta and play a key role in delivering an exceptional guest experience. You will oversee the Housekeeping team and ensure the highest standards across guest rooms, villas, and public areas, from daily operations and quality control to VIP preparations and special requests. You will be responsible for:

• Leading, organising and developing the Housekeeping team.
• Ensuring exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation and service.
• Overseeing room inspections, arrivals, departures and turndown.
• Implementing and maintaining Housekeeping SOPs and quality standards.Managing schedules, staffing, stock, linen and departmental administration.
• Working closely with Front Office, Maintenance and other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
• Supporting recruitment, onboarding, training and team development.
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety and hygiene standards.
• Preparing the department for quality audits and inspections.

You will be the guardian of Housekeeping standards, fostering a culture of excellence, discretion and genuine care for our guests.
