Q-Storage in Funchal (Madeira) seeks a seasoned Head Chef to lead our upscale restaurant kitchen. You will oversee operations, craft seasonal menus, and ensure exceptional plating and service for discerning guests.

We require proven fine-dining experience, strong leadership, and deep knowledge of modern international cuisine. Fluent English is essential; Portuguese is a plus. Flexible hours including weekends and holidays are expected.

Qualificações

Proven experience as Head Chef in a fine dining establishment.
Extensive knowledge of modern international cuisine, including fusion dishes.
Strong leadership skills to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Excellent organizational skills to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail in food preparation, plating and kitchen cleanliness.
Creativity in developing new dishes while maintaining quality standards.
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
Fluent in English; Portuguese proficiency is an asset.

Responsabilidades

Lead and manage a team of chefs, ensuring smooth coordination and collaboration.
Create and update menus, incorporating seasonal ingredients and new culinary trends.
Oversee food preparation, cooking techniques, portion control, and plating presentation.
Train and mentor kitchen staff on recipes, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain stock levels.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
Collaborate with the restaurant manager to plan special events or promotions.
