Mercor is seeking dedicated Gujarati annotators to prepare training data for Gujarati and related scripts. You will annotate page structure, bound regions, and reading order, then transcribe every Gujarati text exactly.

The role emphasizes accuracy over speed, and involves review by a second Gujarati expert to ensure quality on every page. You will work with real Gujarati documents across varied layouts, including handwritten and multi-column content, contributing to high-quality AI data

Qualificações

• Must be a native Gujarati speaker with full command of Gujarati script and orthography.
• Experience with annotation, transcription, localization, or QA of documents.
• Character-level accuracy is essential.
• Familiarity with multi-column layouts, handwriting, and forms is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Open and check a task: verify Gujarati content, legibility, and absence of personal data.
• Annotate structure: bound every meaningful region with type and reading-order index.
• Record relationships: link regions to their parent table/figure IDs.
• Transcribe faithfully: reproduce text in Gujarati script exactly; flag unreadable areas.
• Capture page metadata: language, document type, source, dimensions, flags.
• Review work: second Gujarati expert reviews each task.
