Mercor is seeking a meticulous Bengali annotator to build structure maps and provide faithful Bengali transcriptions for diverse documents. You will determine region boundaries, reading order, and relationships between elements, ensuring every region is correctly typed and bounded.

As a native Bengali speaker with a commitment to exactness, you will handle handwritten and printed content, including complex layouts.

Qualificações

• Native Bengali speaker with full command of Bengali script and orthography.
• Experience with document annotation, transcription, localization, or related data review preferred.
• Character-level accuracy is essential and diacritics must be correct.

Responsabilidades

• Open and check task pages provided for Bengali content.
• Annotate page structure: bound each region and assign type and reading order index.
• Link regions to related figures or tables via parent identifiers.
• Transcribe faithfully in Bengali script, noting illegible regions.
• Record page metadata: language, document type, source, dimensions, handwriting/hand-drawn marks.
• Review colleagues’ work and flag unsuitable pages before starting.
