Job summary

Experimental is opening Hotel Infante Sagres restaurant in Porto's historic city centre in 2026. We are seeking a proactive Waiter to deliver warm, seamless hospitality from seating to farewell, and to guide guests through our menu and drinks while respecting dietary requirements.

You'll work with a passionate kitchen, bar and floor team, maintaining knowledge of ingredients and allergens, and ensuring impeccable service during evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a waiter or in a similar role.
• Proactive, autonomous and adaptable with strong hospitality mindset.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests from seating to farewell.
• Present menu and drinks, make recommendations, accommodate dietary requirements.
• Take orders, coordinate with kitchen and bar, handle payments.
• Serve food and drinks following service standards.
• Maintain knowledge of menu, ingredients, allergens and drinks.
• Set up floor before service and reset tables after service.
• Keep work areas clean and functional.
• Collaborate with kitchen, bar and floor teams for smooth service.
