Job summary

The Lisbon-based Hiscox finance team is seeking a proactive FP&A professional to support budgeting and forecasting for Europe, collaborating with stakeholders across the region and Group. You will analyse variances, challenge assumptions, and provide insightful commentary to drive better financial decisions.

You will work in a fast-paced multinational environment, requiring strong Excel skills, process discipline, and the ability to partner with diverse teams to deliver accurate planning outputs

Qualifications

• Demonstrate knowledge of non-life insurance accounting and P&L drivers.
• Experience in Planning, MI and performance management.
• Experience in multinational, multilingual finance environments.
• Experience in insurance or financial services is advantageous.
• Able to deliver high-quality outputs under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Proficient in Excel; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the EU FP&A team in the Budget and Forecast process across EU entities.
• Coordinate planning data submissions with data owners and ensure on-time delivery.
• Engage with cost centre owners as a business partner to European Functions and Projects.
• Deliver analysis on profitability drivers and variances between planning cycles.
• Contribute to process improvements and maintain robust documentation.
