Job summary

BUMATIC in Porto, Portugal, is seeking a Founding Robotics Engineer – Electronics to own the robot electronics stack, PCB design, power systems, and EMC under field conditions. The role is full-time and on-site with a focus on early-stage hardware development.

Ideal candidates have a Master’s in Electronics Engineering and experience in automation electronics; firmware coding and V&V knowledge is beneficial. Expect hands-on prototyping, lab work, and collaboration with suppliers.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering or related field.
• Experience delivering electronics in automation systems.
• Firmware coding and V&V knowledge beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete electronics stack of the robots and embedded systems.
• Prototype, modify and test PCBs and electronic components.
• Design power supply systems including batteries and BMS.
