Job summary

Bumatic manufactures cutting-edge robotics in Porto and is seeking a founding engineer to design the robot's mechanical and electromechanical body, including structures, drivetrains, actuators and thermal paths to ensure compliance with requirements and regulations.

You will deliver detailed CAD designs, BOMs, drawings and assembly instructions, define actuation hardware and cooling strategies, and integrate electronics and sensors while collaborating with external suppliers.

Qualifications

• A degree in Mechatronics Engineering, or other relevant field of study
• Professional experience in delivering mechatronic hardware
• Specific experience in autonomous robotics is beneficial

Responsibilities

• The complete detailed designs of our robotic solutions
• The delivery of our robot prototypes
• The experimental measurements, calculations and finite element simulations behind the system
• Delivering detailed CAD designs, including BOMs, drawings and assembly instructions
• Defining actuation hardware, cooling strategies and integration of electronics and sensors
• Hands on laboratory experience and test reporting
• Interaction with external suppliers
