Spectrum IT Recruitment is partnering with a fast-growing AI company in Lisbon to hire a Forward Deployed Engineer. You will design, build and deploy AI-powered systems, working directly with clients to translate business challenges into production-ready applications.

Ideal candidates have strong Python/TypeScript skills, hands-on LLM experience, and a proactive mindset. You’ll engage with APIs, databases and cloud tech while communicating effectively with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals with Python/TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs and AI agents.
• Practical experience using AI coding agents in development workflow.
• Experience with APIs, databases and cloud technologies.
• Excellent communication skills and fluent Portuguese.

Responsabilités

• Build and deploy AI agents and LLM-powered applications.

I'm working with a fast-growing AI company in Lisbon that's helping businesses automate complex processes using AI agents and intelligent workflows.

They're looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to design, build and deploy real-world AI solutions, working directly with clients to turn business challenges into production-ready applications.

What you'll be doing:

• Building and deploying AI agents and LLM-powered applications.
• Developing backend services, APIs and third-party integrations.
• Working with RAG, MCP, tool calling and agent orchestration.
• Using AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor or Codex daily.
• Taking ownership of solutions from initial requirements through production.
• Collaborating directly with clients and non-technical stakeholders.

What we're looking for:

• Strong software engineering fundamentals, ideally Python and/or TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs and AI agents.
• Practical experience using AI coding agents in your development workflow.
• Experience with APIs, databases and cloud technologies.
• Excellent communication skills and fluent Portuguese.
