Job summary

Spectrum IT Recruitment is partnering with a fast-growing AI company in Lisbon to hire a Forward Deployed Engineer. You will design, build and deploy AI-powered systems, working directly with clients to translate business challenges into production-ready applications.

Ideal candidates have strong Python/TypeScript skills, hands-on LLM experience, and a proactive mindset. You’ll engage with APIs, databases and cloud tech while communicating effectively with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals with Python/TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs and AI agents.
• Practical experience using AI coding agents in development workflow.
• Experience with APIs, databases and cloud technologies.
• Excellent communication skills and fluent Portuguese.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy AI agents and LLM-powered applications.
• Develop backend services, APIs and third-party integrations.
• Work with RAG, MCP, tool calling and agent orchestration.
• Use AI coding tools daily (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex).
• Take ownership of solutions from requirements to production.
• Collaborate directly with clients and non-technical stakeholders.
