Job summary

Stratio seeks an Embedded Systems Engineer to own firmware for the Databox, interfacing software with hardware to convert vehicle data into actionable insights. You’ll work on multi-threaded C/C++ firmware near the hardware, collaborating with hardware engineers and QA to ensure reliability and performance.

You will translate product requirements into robust designs, debug across hardware and software layers, and contribute to tooling, documentation, and test infrastructure while maintaining

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field.
• Proven experience in embedded systems development with C/C++.
• Experience debugging embedded systems with an RTOS on ARM-based microcontrollers.
• Working knowledge of analogue and digital electronics.
• Knowledge of unit testing and CI methodologies.
• Familiarity with version control systems.
• Experience translating requirements into technical solutions.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Firmware development on Databox firmware with C/C++ under RTOS.
• Translate product requirements into technical designs with stakeholders.
• Debug on target using logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, CAN/serial-to-USB tools; work with J1939 and J1587.
• Support hardware bring-up with the hardware team.
• Participate in code reviews and design discussions.
