Job summary

Hyatt Andaz Lisbon is seeking a Door Host to be the first face guests meet on arrival. You will deliver a warm, personalized welcome reflecting the hotel's sophistication and service ethos in Lisbon’s Baixa district.

In this luxury hospitality setting, you will assist with luggage, identify VIP guests, escort guests to their rooms, and coordinate with Reception, Concierge and Valet to ensure a seamless arrival and departure experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous luxury hospitality experience is an advantage.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese; additional languages a plus.
• Strong communication, friendliness, and professional posture.
• Able to lift and move luggage.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome guests on arrival with courtesy and professionalism.
• Assist with luggage during arrival and departure.
• Identify VIP guests or those with special needs and provide tailored assistance.
• Escort guests to rooms and introduce hotel facilities and services.
• Maintain lobby, entrance area, and exterior areas under responsibility.

• Provide basic information about hotel services and local attractions with warm, empathetic communication.
• Ensure safety of guests’ belongings during transport and storage.

The role will be responsible for being the first physical point of contact with guests upon their arrival at the hotel. This position ensures a warm and efficient welcome, delivering an arrival experience that reflects the lifestyle concept of sophistication, authenticity, and personalization. The Door Host acts with an elegant demeanor, strong attention to detail, and proactivity, anticipating guest needs from the moment they arrive until their departure.

Main Responsibilities:

• Warmly welcome guests upon arrival with courtesy and professionalism.
• Assist with luggage during arrival and departure, ensuring careful and efficient handling.
• Identify VIP guests, frequent guests, or those with special needs and provide tailored assistance.
• Escort guests to their rooms, briefly and courteously introducing the hotel’s facilities and services.
• Maintain organization of the lobby, entrance hall, and exterior areas under their responsibility.
• Coordinate with Reception, Concierge, and Valet to ensure smooth arrival and departure flow.
• Assist with internal transport of packages, luggage, or personal belongings as requested.
• Provide basic information about hotel services and local attractions using warm and empathetic communication.
• Ensure the safety of guests’ belongings during transport and storage.
• Adhere to hotel standards regarding conduct, personal presentation, and hospitality.
