Job summary

Scandinavian Tobacco Group (STG) in Lisbon seeks a Collections Officer to strengthen cash flow through proactive AR management and collaboration with Sales, Credit Management, and Customer Service. You will resolve payment challenges and drive improvements in the Quote-to-Cash process within an international finance setup.

The role emphasizes building relationships, monitoring overdue balances, and contributing to process automation and efficiency in STG's Finance Operations in Lisbon.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2–5 years in Accounts Receivable, Collections, or Credit Management.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA; FSCM knowledge is a plus.
• Strong analytical, negotiation skills; capable of handling complex customer situations.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of French/Dutch/German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned customer portfolios to meet collection targets and cash flow goals.
• Execute end-to-end collection and dunning activities with timely follow-up.
• Investigate and resolve complex payment allocation issues.
• Collaborate with Sales, Credit Management, and Customer Service to resolve disputes.
• Analyze AR ageing and develop action plans to reduce overdue debt.
• Prepare portfolio performance reports and support process improvements.
