Hotel Infante Sagres Porto is seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to support Sous Chefs and lead a kitchen section within our luxury Porto venue. You will prepare mise en place, follow recipes, manage service during peak times, and uphold strict hygiene standards.

The ideal candidate has proven Chef de Partie experience, strong culinary knowledge, and the ability to coach junior staff. Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts are required in a high‑end hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role.
• Excellent knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
• Experience supervising junior team members and on‑the‑job coaching.
• Strong organizational skills and efficiency in a high‑tempo kitchen.
• Rigorous in following procedures and hygiene standards.
• Good communication in Portuguese (English a plus).
• Available to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supporting Sous Chefs and kitchen leadership in daily operations.
• Preparing preliminary ingredients and mise en place.
• Following recipes according to technical sheets.
• Managing and organizing the assigned kitchen section during service periods.
• Preparing dishes according to the menu and specific orders.
• Ensuring proper kitchen opening and closing procedures are followed.
• Checking preparations (tasting, analyzing, adjustments).
• Storing ingredients following prescribed methods.
• Receiving and verifying deliveries.
• Applying current hygiene and safety regulations.
• Communicating stock shortages and operational needs to kitchen leadership.
• Wearing professional attire compliant with hygiene and safety legislation.
