Job summary

HN Services Portugal is seeking a Business Analyst / Functional Analyst to join a strategic international project in the Banking & Financial Services sector. You will support Risk, Finance and ALM data and reporting activities, coordinating closing calendars, data production, and reference data management.

Applicants should have solid experience as a Business/Functional Analyst, strong SQL and Power BI skills, and familiarity with test planning and validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• Mandatory experience as a Business Analyst / Functional Analyst.
• Hands-on with test plan definition, execution and validation.
• Strong SQL knowledge is required.
• Solid Power BI experience is required.
• Experience in banking/financial sector is valued.

Who We're Looking For:

HN Services is looking for a Business Analyst / Functional Analyst to join a strategic international project within the Banking & Financial Services sector, supporting Risk, Finance and ALM data and reporting activities.

Professional Experience & Main Tasks

• Coordinate and monitor closing calendars and data production activities
• Manage and maintain reference data and supporting documentation
• Perform data controls and operational permanent controls
• Provide first-level support to end users
• Define, execute and validate test plans for business and system evolutions
• Support project management activities and coordinate with business and IT stakeholders
• Prepare and maintain key project documentation, including release notes, validation statements and data models
• Act as an interface between Risk, Finance, ALM and IT teams

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, IT, Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Professional experience as a Business Analyst / Functional Analyst, particularly in administration and support – mandatory
• Hands-on experience with test plan definition, execution and validation – mandatory
• Strong knowledge of SQL – mandatory
• Strong knowledge of Power BI – mandatory
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of SAS Enterprise Guide, JIRA or Agile methodologies is a plus
• Previous experience in the banking/financial sector is highly valued
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
