We're looking for a Business Analyst – Custody & Securities Services

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join an international banking environment, within the Custody IT Business Analyst Team, working mainly with the BaNCS application. The role will act as a bridge between Business and IT, contributing to requirements analysis, functional specifications, testing activities and the delivery of projects and releases within a Custody / Securities Services environment.

Professional Experience & Main Tasks

• Work closely with Business stakeholders to understand, analyse and clarify business needs and requirements.
• Contribute to preliminary studies and assess business requirements from a critical and constructive perspective.
• Challenge and clarify requirements to ensure they are aligned with business needs and IT capabilities.
• Formalise functional requirements and specifications and ensure their validation with the Business.
• Provide functional expertise on Custody-related processes and applications.
• Follow and contribute to functional testing activities, including support to Business users during UAT.
• Follow the different phases of projects and releases, ensuring proper coordination and follow-up.
• Manage and contribute to the Change Request cycle, from requirement analysis through implementation and validation.
• Prepare and maintain functional documentation and project-related materials.
• Ensure proper follow-up of planning, workflows, deadlines, actions and deliverables.
• Coordinate with Business and IT teams to ensure effective communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
• Apply Business Analysis best practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Degree/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Management, Tax, Law or a related field.
• 4+ years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within the financial industry.
• Solid experience in Custody / Securities Services activities.
• Experience working in banking or financial services environments.
• Experience with Waterfall methodology and JIRA.
• Good knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
• Experience with requirements gathering, functional analysis and functional testing.
• Knowledge of BaNCS is a strong plus.
• Good understanding of IT environments and business processes.
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with both Business and IT stakeholders in an international environment.
