KCS IT in Lisbon is seeking a Senior Business Analyst with Insurance experience to join our hybrid team. You will map insurance processes, capture requirements, create user stories and acceptance criteria, and liaise between business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure value delivery.

The role requires strong domain knowledge, fluent Portuguese and English, and the ability to work in agile or waterfall environments. You’ll contribute to innovative insurance projects across clients.

Qualificações

• Mandatory experience as a Business Analyst in the Insurance sector.
• Strong knowledge of insurance processes, products and operations.
• Experience gathering, analyzing and documenting requirements.
• Hands-on in creating and managing User Stories and Acceptance Criteria.
• Understanding of IT concepts, software development lifecycles and integrations.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and/or Waterfall methodologies.
• Familiar with Jira, Azure DevOps or similar tools for backlog & board management.
• Understanding of testing processes: Unit, Functional and UAT.
• Effective communication with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent Portuguese and English are mandatory.

• Mandatory professional experience as a Business Analyst within the Insurance sector.


• Strong understanding of insurance business processes, products and operations.


• Experience gathering, analysing and documenting business and functional requirements.


• Hands‑on experience creating and managing User Stories and Acceptance Criteria.


• Good understanding of IT concepts, software development lifecycles and system integrations.


• Experience working with Agile/Scrum and/or Waterfall methodologies.


• Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps or similar tools for backlog and board management.


• Good understanding of testing processes, including Unit Testing, Functional Testing and UAT.


• Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.


• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.


• Fluent Portuguese and English are mandatory.

Nice to Have

• Experience with insurance platforms and core insurance systems.


• Knowledge of insurance processes such as policy administration, underwriting, claims, billing, payments or product management.


• Experience working with APIs, microservices and system integrations.


• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.


• Experience with BPMN, UML or process modelling.


• Experience working on digital transformation or system implementation projects within insurance.


• Previous experience in international or multicultural projects.
