Job summary

The Lakhani Group is opening L Hotel Fátima and seeks a Breakfast Waiter to join the founding team. The role involves setting up the breakfast area, serving guests, and ensuring smooth morning service, including groups leaving for the Sanctuary. Early starts are required, with weekends and holidays in rotation.

Portuguese is essential and basic English is required. A HACCP certificate or willingness to obtain one is needed, with barista skills considered a bonus.

Qualifications

• Experience as a waiter or in food service; breakfast experience is an advantage.
• Portuguese and basic English.
• Friendly, fast and well-presented.
• Available for early starts (around 06:30), weekends and holidays.
• Valid food-handling / HACCP certificate, or willingness to obtain one before starting.
• Nice to have: barista skills; experience serving large groups.
• Join a brand-new hotel team from day one.

Responsibilities

• Set up the breakfast room and buffet before service, and replenish food and drinks throughout
• Greet and seat guests, take hot drink and à la carte orders, and serve at the table
• Clear and reset tables quickly and keep the room clean
• Prepare early or packed breakfasts for group departures when requested
• Follow food safety and HACCP rules, including labelling and temperature checks
• Close down the breakfast area, wash-up and restock for the next day

About L Hotel Fátima: The Lakhani Group (TLG) is opening L Hotel Fátima on 12 October 2026, and we are building our founding team.

Breakfast Waiters run the morning service, setting up the buffet and making sure every guest starts the day well. Early starts are part of the role, especially for pilgrim groups departing for the Sanctuary. Full-time or part-time. Shift: early morning (approx. 06:30–14:30). Reports to: Hotel Manager.
