Job summary
ALTEN Portugal is seeking a hands-on PLC Automation / Commissioning Engineer to join a dynamic team. You will develop and program PLC software for industrial automation systems and work with Siemens PLCs using the TIA Portal, including SCL programming.
You will support commissioning, startup, and validation of machines at customer sites and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across project phases. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience in industrial automation, strong troubleshooting
Qualifications
- Professional experience in PLC programming and industrial automation.
- Hands-on experience with Siemens PLCs and TIA Portal.
- Knowledge of SCL / Structured Text programming.
- Previous experience in commissioning, machine startup, or industrial automation projects is valued.
Responsibilities
- Develop and program PLC software for industrial automation systems.
- Work with Siemens PLCs and TIA Portal, including SCL programming.
- Perform software testing, debugging, and optimization.
- Support commissioning, startup, and validation of machines at customer sites.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout project phases.
- Provide technical support during installation and startup.
