Job summary

Nordea seeks a Compliance Officer for NAM Portugal, based in Lisbon with the Asset Management Compliance team. The role involves identifying and mitigating compliance risks across NAM, providing practical guidance to management, and ensuring regulatory alignment in a global context.

Initially 100% on-site, moving to a hybrid model (3 days in office, 2 from home). Ideal candidates have 3+ years in Asset Management compliance, strong FCA knowledge, and proven UK regulatory experience.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' experience in Compliance within Asset Management.
• Strong experience supporting a UK Asset Management business.
• Detailed knowledge of FCA regulatory framework for Asset Managers.
• Experience advising on UK regulatory requirements including SMCR, conflicts of interest, market abuse.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess and monitor compliance risks across NAM.
• Provide practical compliance advice to business stakeholders and senior management.
• Support implementation and enhancement of the Compliance Framework.
• Conduct reviews, assessments and monitoring activities.
• Deliver compliance training and promote a strong risk culture.
• Advise on regulatory developments affecting NAM.
• Support governance forums, reporting and regulatory interactions.
• Partner with UK and European teams on regulatory matters.
