Act Digital is seeking an IT Operations / Exploitation Engineer to join our Lisbon-based client hub. You will act as a pivotal N2 technical support and integrator, ensuring production runs, batch scheduling reliability, and secure file transfers across critical banking systems.

Responsibilities include real-time batch processing with Control-M and V-TOM, incident response, and DevOps improvements such as automation and observability.

Qualificações

• Must be able to manage batch processing and incident response in production environments.
• Experience with Linux and Windows systems, monitoring, and runbooks is required.
• Exposure to MFT/delivery systems and data flows.
• Ability to communicate with Paris-based entities in French.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure application availability and operability in RUN OPEN mode with CMDB updates and documentation.
• Plan, monitor, and execute real-time batch processing using Control-M and V-TOM; respond to incidents and SLA breaches.
• Oversee MFT activities, troubleshoot anomalies, and manage data flows across systems.
• Coordinate with CP/ScrumOps and application teams to automate and improve batch cycles and observability.

Are you an experienced IT Operations / Exploitation Engineer with a solid background in production run, batch job scheduling, and file transfer systems? Ready to manage mission-critical banking environments within a major European financial technology hub?

At

act digital, we are recruiting an experienced

IT Operations / Exploitation Engineer

to join our client's captive tech hub in Lisbon. In this role, you will act as a pivotal N2 technical support and technical integrator, ensuring system operability, batch scheduling reliability, and seamless production runs.

What you will do

Ensure application availability and system operability in RUN OPEN mode (CMDB updates, operational documentation, obsolescence, and vulnerability tracking).

Define, plan, and monitor real-time batch job processing via

Control-M

and

V-TOM ;
respond swiftly to incidents (abends), SLA breaches, and dependency issues.

Daily Operations & Incident Recovery:

Trigger and control batch executions, execute operational restarts, and monitor system resources (disk space, queues, memory).

Managed File Transfer (MFT):

Supervise critical file transfers, troubleshoot anomalies, and manage flow incidents across systems.

Technical Integration & Continuous Improvement:

Act as the technical integrator coordinating with CP/ScrumOps, support application teams, optimize batch cycles, and enforce DevOps best practices (automation, observability, security).

What we are looking for

Batch Scheduling Tools:

Hands-on experience with

Control-M

and/or

V-TOM

Operations & Systems:

Strong foundations in Linux and Windows environments, process management, log inspection, and system resource monitoring.

File Transfers & Delivery:

Practical exposure to managed file transfer (MFT) protocols and incident handling on data flows.

Solid experience drafting operational runbooks, technical procedures, and activity reports.

Languages:

Working proficiency in
