Consort Group in Lisbon, Portugal is seeking a Cloud Operations / DevOps & Production Support Engineer to ensure the stability, automation and continuous improvement of critical banking applications in cloud and hybrid environments. You will build automation, support deployments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in an international banking setting.

The role emphasizes infrastructure as code, containers, and cloud platforms, with a focus on automation, DR readiness, and production

Qualificações

• 5 years of experience in IT Operations, Production Support, DevOps or Cloud Engineering environments.
• Fluent English (professional proficiency) mandatory.
• Strong automation and infrastructure reliability mindset.

Responsabilidades

• Provide L1/L2 Application Production Support for critical banking applications.
• Build and maintain Ansible playbooks and Terraform scripts for infrastructure automation.
• Contribute to containerization and modernization of legacy applications.
• Design and improve deployment, provisioning and configuration processes.
• Develop automation solutions to reduce operational effort and increase reliability.
• Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) preparation and testing activities.
• Support CI/CD initiatives and deployment standardization.
• Train and coach operations teams on best practices for Ansible, Terraform and Kubernetes.

This is your mission

Cloud Application Production Support Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, automation and continuous improvement of critical banking applications running in cloud and hybrid environments. Build side

• Build and maintain Ansible playbooks and Terraform scripts for infrastructure automation.
• Contribute to the containerization and modernization of legacy applications.
• Design and improve deployment, provisioning and configuration processes.
• Develop automation solutions to reduce operational effort and increase reliability.
• Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) preparation and testing activities.
• Support CI/CD initiatives and deployment standardization.
• Train and coach operations teams on Ansible, Terraform and Kubernetes best practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and infrastructure optimization initiatives.

Run side

• Provide L1/L2 Application Production Support for critical banking applications.
• Handle incidents, service requests and production troubleshooting activities.
• Participate in shift rotations and on-call support.
• Monitor production environments and ensure platform stability.
• Support production releases and post-deployment validations.
• Participate in DR and Live Play exercises.
• Analyze root causes and implement preventive actions.
• Work closely with development, infrastructure and business teams to ensure service continuity.

This is your background

You have at least

5 years of experience

in IT Operations, Production Support, DevOps or Cloud Engineering environments. You are passionate about automation, infrastructure reliability and cloud technologies. You enjoy solving complex issues, working in critical environments and continuously improving operational processes.

You are looking for a role where you can combine production support, cloud technologies and infrastructure automation while working within an international banking environment. You are comfortable operating autonomously, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and driving technical improvements that have a direct impact on business operations.

This is your expertise

• Linux administration and command-line expertise.
• Infrastructure as Code with Ansible and Terraform.
• Container technologies: Docker and Kubernetes.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud or Google Cloud.
• Scripting with Python and/or Bash.
• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Concourse, Travis or equivalent.
• Application monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace.
• PL/SQL and troubleshooting experience in production environments.
• Understanding of banking operations and critical systems.

Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
