Caixa Mágica Software in Lisbon seeks an experienced Application Production Support specialist to ensure stability, availability, and performance of critical business applications. You will collaborate with business users, developers and infrastructure teams to resolve incidents and automate tasks.

With 11+ years in production support, you will manage releases, monitor workloads, and drive continuous improvements across Windows, Linux and Oracle environments while participating in on-call

• Over 11 years of Production Support and Infrastructure experience.
• Strong Oracle SQL and UNIX expertise.
• Experience with ITIL processes and service management.
• Availability for weekends, public holidays and rotation schedules.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and functional support to business users and stakeholders
• Ensure availability, stability and performance in production environments
• Monitor and supervise technical and functional components of applications
• Coordinate application releases, deployments and production changes
• Perform incident analysis, troubleshooting and service restoration activities
• Analyze workflows, batch executions and business processes for smooth operations
• Automate recurring tasks to improve operational efficiency
• Identify root causes and contribute to permanent corrective solutions
• Maintain operational procedures and enrich documentation repositories
• Support integration activities leveraging existing products and services
• Manage change requests and contribute to continuous service improvement
• Share knowledge and mentor team members, contributing to training

The leading bank in the European Union and a leading international player is seeking an Application Production Support responsible for ensuring the stability, availability, performance and operational continuity of critical business applications within the Global Banking IT environment. The role combines both technical and functional support responsibilities, ensuring the smooth execution of application processes, releases, workflows and business operations. The consultant will work closely with business users, development teams and infrastructure teams to resolve incidents, improve service quality, automate operational tasks and optimize the overall user experience through proactive monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives.

What will you do?

• Provide technical and functional support to business users and application stakeholders

• More than 11 years of experience in Production Support and Infrastructure environments
• Strong expertise in Application Production Support within enterprise environments
• Oracle SQL knowledge is mandatory
• UNIX expertise is highly required
• Experience with ITIL processes and operational governance is highly valued
• Availability to work on weekends, public holidays and support rotations when required
• Strong focus on operational excellence, automation, service quality and continuous improvement
