Consort Group in Lisbon seeks an Application Production Support professional to ensure stability and performance of critical business applications. You will handle both build and run responsibilities in a hybrid work setting, with occasional production incidents and ongoing automation initiatives.

The role requires 3–5 years in application support or IT operations, strong problem-solving, and collaboration with business users.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Application Support, IT Operations, Production Support, or similar roles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with proactive monitoring.
• Experience solving complex production issues with automation.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate and manage application releases and deployments.
• Analyze impact of changes, patches, and new releases.
• Implement automation scripts to improve operational efficiency.
• Monitor applications, batch processes, interfaces, and file transfers for service continuity.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents.
• Perform root cause analysis and preventive actions.
• Manage functional change requests and support business requirements.
• Ensure proper incident documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Participate in production support rotations, including weekends/holidays when required.

Application Production Support

This is your mission

Are you passionate about application production support, IT operations, and continuous service improvement? Then this position is for you.

As an Application Support Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of critical business applications while providing both technical and functional support within a complex production environment.

Build Side

• Coordinate and manage application releases and production deployments.
• Contribute to application integration projects by leveraging existing products and services.
• Analyze the impact of application changes, patches, and new releases.
• Implement automation scripts to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual activities.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on service quality and user experience.
• Create and maintain technical and functional documentation.

Run Side

• Provide technical and functional support to business users and stakeholders.
• Monitor applications, batch processes, interfaces, and file transfers to ensure service continuity.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents and service disruptions.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive actions.
• Manage functional change requests and support business requirements.
• Ensure proper incident documentation, knowledge sharing, and operational follow-up.
• Participate in production support rotations, including occasional weekends and holidays when required.

This is your background

You have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in Application Support, IT Operations, Production Support, or a similar role within demanding environments.

You enjoy solving complex production issues, working closely with business users, and continuously improving operational processes through automation and proactive monitoring. You are looking for an environment where your ideas matter and where technology goes hand in hand with collaboration.

This Is Your Expertise

• Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting.
• SQL and database query analysis.
• Monitoring and scheduling tools (Control-M, Autosys, Geneos, Centreon, Splunk or similar).
• Scripting and automation (Shell, Python, PowerShell or equivalent).
• Incident, Problem, Change and Release Management.
• IT Operations, application production support, and service management practices (ITIL).
• Knowledge of Banking or Financial Services environments is a strong plus.
