Job summary

Decskill, an IT consulting company with over 10 years of experience, is growing and looking for an Appplication Production Support specialist focused on SQL & Unix/Linux. The role is based in Lisbon/Porto/Madrid with national and international project exposure.

You will handle L1/L2 production support, incidents, logs analysis, on-call rotations and DR activities. The ideal candidate has strong Unix/Linux, SQL/PLSQL, Autosys and middleware experience, plus ITIL practices.

Qualifications

• Unix / Linux and Shell Scripting are required.
• Data Warehousing and Data Platforms experience is expected.
• Databases, Oracle, PL/SQL and SQL knowledge.
• Good working knowledge of Autosys.
• Middleware such as MQ, Tomcat; Cloud Computing capabilities are a plus.
• Dynatrace, Kubernetes, Docker and Ansible knowledge is beneficial.
• Reporting and data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau are used.
• ITIL practices knowledge is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide L1/L2 Application Production Support for critical applications and data platforms.
• Manage and prioritise incidents, service requests and production issues.
• Provide timely and high-quality technical support to Business teams.
• Analyse system, middleware and application logs to identify issues.
• Monitor services and ensure availability and operational stability.
• Troubleshoot across Unix, databases, middleware and app layers.
• Contribute to continuous service improvement and automate recurring tasks.
• Address recurring incidents through Problem Management and process improvement.
• Produce operational reports and contribute to service performance monitoring.
• Participate in shift work and on-call rotations.
• Support Disaster Recovery and Live Play activities.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to maintain service quality.
