AMGEN Capability Center Portugal, located in Lisbon, seeks a Business Architect for AI Studio to drive discovery, define structured opportunity statements, and shape AI/automation initiatives. You will partner with stakeholders to articulate business value and prepare opportunities for technical review, ensuring measurable outcomes across the AI Studio portfolio.

Qualificações

Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field, and at least 4 years of relevant experience.
Bachelor’s degree/Licenciatura in a related field and at least 6 years of relevant experience.
Post-secondary diploma or equivalent qualification and at least 10 years of relevant experience.
Relevant professional experience in business analysis, business architecture, product analysis, process improvement, or digital transformation.
Demonstrated ability to lead business discovery and translate complex or ambiguous business needs into structured requirements, process models, opportunity statements, value cases, and decision-ready recommendations.
Strong analytical, data-driven problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to collaborate across global, virtual, and cross-functional teams.
Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
Experience using AI tools to synthesize information and support business architecture activities.

Responsabilidades

Lead business discovery for AI, automation, process, workflow, and digital opportunities across AI Studio.
Partner with stakeholders to clarify needs, scope, expected outcomes, and readiness for technical review.
Translate ambiguous requests into structured opportunity statements covering business problem, stakeholder impact, current-state pain points, desired future state, value drivers, risks, dependencies, assumptions, and success measures.
Support intake triage by assessing completeness and strategic alignment for discovery.
Capture the voice of the customer and translate input into opportunity briefs, process maps, value summaries, and discovery documentation.
Define current-state and future-state processes using SIPOC diagrams, value stream maps, journey maps, and capability maps.
Identify process inefficiencies, gaps, handoffs, dependencies, risks, and opportunities for AI, automation, or process improvement.
Define value drivers including productivity, cost avoidance, quality, customer/employee experience, and revenue growth.
Document value assumptions, adoption expectations, measurable outcomes, and link activities to value.
Prepare opportunities for technical review with context, data sources, access needs, dependencies, and SME contacts.
Collaborate with delivery architects to ensure clean handoffs into technical design and delivery planning.
Create leadership-ready summaries of business problems, value, and next steps.
Support prioritization discussions by explaining value, urgency, risk, and effort.
