Amgen Capability Center Portugal in Lisbon leads AI-driven healthcare innovations. The ML Engineer role focuses on owning defined production components within enterprise AI products and automation solutions.

You will design, release, diagnose and support modules spanning data, models, retrieval, tools and workflows in a cloud-based environment. Work spans from discovery to production, partnering with business units to deliver impactful AI solutions with governance, security and scalability

Qualificações

• Master’s degree with 4–6 years of related experience
• Bachelor’s degree with 6–8 years of related experience
• Diploma with 9–10 years of related experience
• Strong hands-on proficiency in Python and SQL with good software engineering practices
• Experience with GenAI, RAG, agents or related areas is highly valued

Responsabilidades

• Define component boundaries, acceptance criteria and estimates with product/architecture partners
• Design and implement Python, SQL, API, data, model and workflow components
• Apply ML/AI methods including EDA, feature engineering and evaluation
• Build GenAI, NLP, RAG and bounded agent components with structured output and retrieval
• Engineer data, feature, embedding and evaluation pipelines with provenance and access controls
• Release and support components using cloud services, containers, CI/CD and monitoring
• Apply Responsible AI, privacy, and governance controls
