Job summary

PPM Coachers in Portugal is recruiting a Senior AI Platform Engineer to help design and evolve an AI-oriented engineering platform, aiming to boost development team productivity and optimize the entire SDLC—from requirements analysis to production.

You will design AI agent-based workflows, integrate AI agents with Jira and CI tools, and drive Platform Engineering, DevOps and IaC using Terraform and other modern technologies in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Software Engineering with senior or technical leadership responsibilities.
• Proven AI agent development and production deployment capabilities.
• Strong Platform Engineering, DevOps and CI/CD knowledge.
• Proficient in Python and TypeScript.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP or equivalent).
• IaC experience with Terraform or similar tools.
• Experience building internal engineering platforms and CLI/workflow engines.
• SDLC and engineering productivity practices knowledge.
• English at least C1; Portugal resident; available on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI agent-based development workflows, tools and automation processes throughout the software life cycle.
• Develop and integrate AI agents, ensuring orchestration, MCP and context management.
• Implement evaluation frameworks, control mechanisms and quality validation of agents.
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.

PPM Coachers is recruiting for a Senior AI Platform Engineer! We are looking for a senior Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence professional to help develop and evolve an AI-oriented engineering platform, with the goal of increasing development team productivity and optimizing the entire software development life cycle (SDLC), from requirements analysis and solution design to implementation, testing and production.

• Design and develop AI agent-based development workflows, tools and automation processes throughout the software life cycle.
• Develop and integrate AI agents, ensuring their orchestration, tool use, implementation of MCP servers and context management.
• Implement evaluation frameworks, control mechanisms and quality validation, ensuring the reliability of the results produced by agents.
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation and tools to support development teams.
• Integrate AI-powered workflows with enterprise systems, including Jira, version control platforms and CI tools.
• Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency, reliability and productivity of engineering teams.
• Develop solutions that promote automation and optimization of software development processes.

More than 8 years of professional experience in Software Engineering, including roles with senior or technical leadership responsibilities. Proven experience developing and implementing AI agents in production environments, including orchestration, MCP and evaluation frameworks. Strong knowledge of Platform Engineering, DevOps and CI/CD. Practical experience with Python and TypeScript. Experience with Cloud infrastructure, preferably GCP or equivalent technologies. Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), namely Terraform or similar tools. Experience developing internal platforms for engineering teams, CLI or workflow engines. Strong knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and engineering productivity practices. Practical experience using AI agent-based development tools. Strong problem-solving skills, technical autonomy and a sense of responsibility for implementing solutions. English at a minimum C1 level. Resident in Portugal. Availability to start at short notice, preferably within 30 days.
