FC Technology in Lisbon is seeking an experienced Senior AI Platform Engineer to design and scale an AI-powered engineering platform. You will own automations across the SDLC, implement AI agents, and ensure reliable production deployment, monitoring, and governance.

You will lead design and integration of orchestration, tooling, MCP servers, and context engineering, while strengthening CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure. Fluency in English and strong autonomy are essential.

We are looking for an experienced Senior AI Platform Engineer to join our team and help build and scale an AI-powered engineering platform. Your mission will be to transform and optimize the entire software development life cycle (SDLC) - from requirements definition and design to implementation, testing and production. We are looking for an autonomous and proactive professional who can take ownership of complex technical challenges, evaluate solutions and lead implementation independently. Hands-on, proven experience putting AI agents into real production is essential (experience limited to PoCs or theoretical concepts will not be sufficient).

Задачи:

Design and build agent-based development workflows, tools and automations throughout the entire software life cycle. Develop and integrate AI agents, covering orchestration, tool use, MCP servers and context engineering. Implement evaluation frameworks, guardrails and quality checks to ensure reliable agent responses and outputs. Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation and tools for the engineering team. Connect AI-driven workflows to enterprise systems such as Jira, version control systems and CI platforms. Improve engineering efficiency, reliability and the overall development experience (Developer Experience).

Требования:

At least 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering, including senior-level or technical leadership roles. Proven track record of developing and deploying AI agents in production environments (orchestration, MCP and evaluation frameworks). Strong experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps and CI/CD pipelines. Proficiency in Python and TypeScript; familiarity with Kotlin, Go or Rust is a plus. Experience with Cloud platforms (GCP or equivalent) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar). Experience developing internal platforms for developers, CLIs or workflow engines. Strong understanding of the complete software development life cycle and engineering productivity practices. Strong problem-solving skills and autonomy to operate with minimal supervision. Excellent command of English (minimum C1 level, spoken and written). Residence in Portugal is required. Available to start immediately (ASAP) or with a notice period of up to 30 days.
