A fast-moving startup is seeking a full-stack developer with a backend focus to build and evolve backend systems and APIs using Django, while collaborating on frontend work in React. - Build and evolve backend systems and APIs in Django
- Own architecture decisions: scalability, reliability, maintainability
- Implement and refine CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
- Apply clean code practices, design patterns, and strong system design principles. Refactor major parts of the codebase for better long-term maintainability using modern tools such as Claude Code
- Collaborate on frontend work in React (feature work, integration, performance, DX)
- Use and improve AI-assisted development workflows (e.g., faster iteration, better quality, automation)
- Strong experience in full-stack development, with a backend focus
- Solid knowledge of architecture, design patterns, and clean-code practices
- Hands‑on experience with CI/CD (build pipelines, testing, deployments, release processes)
- Heavy testing and QA practices
- Comfort working across the stack: React + Django
- Familiarity with modern development workflows and tooling, including AI-assisted development
- Bonus: exposure to (or curiosity for) Go and/or Rust as we expand parts of the system
