Job summary
A multinational financial institution is seeking a Dev Engineer specializing in Java to join its agile team in Katowice. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in Spring Boot or Java EE and possess strong skills in CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and agile methodologies. This role involves designing, building, and refining software functionality to deliver secure and resilient solutions for millions of customers. Qualifications
- Proven experience with Spring Boot or Java EE development.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and security principles.
Responsibilities
- Design and refine new software functionality.
- Build functionality using Java and implement via agreed methodology.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to team backlog.
Skills
- are experienced developer in Spring Boot (preferable) or Java EE,
- are experienced with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code,
- working knowledge of Kubernetes/OpenShift,
- understand security and risk principles in code development,
- are familiar with orchestration tools like Helm, Terraform and Ansible,
- are highly communicative and flexible
- can stay focused in an environment with changing priorities
- have knowledge of network environments,
- scripting skills in Python, Bash or PowerShell,
- experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
- working knowledge of Agile and DevOps practices.
- familiarity with Scrum methodology (e.g., backlog, sprint planning, reviews).

Our squad is an international team located in The Netherlands (Amsterdam/Rotterdam) and Poland (Katowice/Warsaw), where we develop, maintain and manage software solution to manage firewall rules for ING networks.
As a Dev Engineer specializing in Java, you’ll play a key role in delivering secure, scalable, and resilient solutions for, eventually, millions of customers.
You’ll work in an agile squad, collaborating closely with the Product Manager and fellow engineers to deliver high-impact solutions.
Daily stand‑ups, periodic planning and reviews are part of your routine, supported by modern tools and a strong DevOps culture.
