Purpose of the job

In charge of the Original Equipment and Services Sales of all product portfolio (Brakes, Coupling elements and Digitization), in the region of Eastern Europe in (Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Ukraine)

Main Responsibilities
  • Prepare the 3 years strategic and business plan with the PL S&M Director and Product Line VP
  • Define and implement the global sales and customer strategy
  • Define and achieve the annual Order Intake and Sales budget, in volume and in Contract Margin %
  • Accountable for CRM activities I
  • Integrate all Market Opportunities & Tenders
  • Maintain updated information to ensure consistent forecast and S&OP process
  • Ensure an efficient tendering process in coordination with System Engineering team & Sales Administration (Respect Bid due date, time to quote)
  • Strictly comply with Wabtec processes and approval workflows (Tenders mandate, FCA)
  • Follow-up customers’ satisfaction during project execution. Maintain close contact with Project Management structure
  • Support cash collection and reduce customers’ overdue
  • Share market/tenders/competition information with colleagues within the PL
  • Contribute to the product marketing strategy definition and R&D plan
  • Promote Wabtec products and services near car builders, wagons owners and railway operators
  • Develop relationship network with freight stakeholders in the region, including with car builders sales managers
  • Be the voice of the customers within the organization
Side Responsibilities
  • Represent Wabtec near National Railways associations
  • Collaborate with Wabtec Public Affairs responsible to promote Wabtec near Economical, Political, Governmental bodies to trigger financings and subsidises where needed
  • Prepare and participate actively to Trade Shows
External Customers
  • Customers along all the value chain, with a strong focus on car & bogie builders + wagons owners, plus railway undertakers, operators & maintenance workshops
Means
  • CRM
  • Support from Sales & Marketing + tendering local team
  • Support of CoC
  • Support from Key Account Managers
  • Support from Wabtec Group Organization and Legal Department
Mobility
  • Available for regular trips in the region - Short term stays
Requirements/ Qualifications
  • Engineer with sales skills, or Business School with technical understanding, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in railway products and/or services (in Freight would be a plus)
  • Minimum 5 years of Sales and Marketing – successful – experience, in OE and/or aftermarket
  • Exceptional communication, organizational and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in MS PowerPoint, Project, Excel, Word and Salesforce.com
  • Fluent in Polish (and or Czech). German will be very appreciated
