A global engineering services company in Gdynia is seeking a Commissioning Engineer focused on fuel saving solutions for the maritime and energy industries. Responsibilities include verifying system installations, testing, and ensuring safe operations. The ideal candidate has a degree in engineering, experience in control systems, and is ready to travel globally. This role offers a full-time contract with competitive salary and benefits.
Join WW Technic – where engineering expertise meets purpose.
At WW Technic, you will be part of a team that combines engineering mastery with the mission of making industries more efficient, reliable and sustainable.
WW Technic is an engineering services company providing technical expertise in shipbuilding, ship repair, offshore, oil & gas, and the power & heat sectors. Since 2013, we have been supporting global clients in pre-commissioning, commissioning, supervision, service and project management – helping them launch and maintain critical systems that power the future of clean and responsible industry.
Our work goes beyond technology. It’s about trust, precision and partnership.
We operate where safety, innovation and environmental responsibility meet – implementing advanced automation and power solutions that help shape the next generation of green shipping and energy systems.
This position is part of our engineering team responsible for Fuel Saving Solutions, where the main components include shaft generators and variable frequency drives (VFDs). These systems help improve energy efficiency on vessels by optimizing power generation and propulsion performance.
As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for bringing complex electrical and automation systems to life – ensuring they operate safely, efficiently and in perfect synchronization.
Your assignments will take you to shipyards and facilities across the world, where you will be the key link between design and operation.
You’ll work on advanced power supply systems, hybrid propulsion, and DC‑link energy distribution, including permanent magnet generator and energy storage solutions — technologies driving the green transition in maritime and industrial sectors.
Our commissioning engineers work worldwide — from Asia to Northern Europe — typically spending around 6–7 months per year on‑site. Projects usually last from 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the client and system type. Between projects, you remain on stand‑by at home – fully paid and supported, with time to rest, prepare and stay close to your family & friends.
Every project connects you with Project Teams that provide guidance, technical expertise and real‑time support. You will never be left alone – even in the most challenging sea trials.
At WW Technic, knowledge is shared, not owned. Our engineers support each other, ensuring continuous improvement and safety across every project.
If you have experience with hybrid propulsion systems, VFD technology, or energy storage solutions, that will be an advantage.
Because we know what it means to be an engineer.
We understand the satisfaction that comes from seeing a system come to life exactly as planned, the challenge of sea trials, and the pride in seeing a vessel sail successfully after days of intense work.
We also know how important it is to have support, stability, and recognition for your expertise.
At WW Technic, we build long‑term relationships – with clients and with our people. Join us, and bring your experience to a company that values reliability, skill and respect in every project.
Apply now and become part of a team where engineering knowledge meets purpose, precision and partnership.
