Job summary

Sii Poland in Warszawa is seeking data scientists who turn ambiguous business questions into actionable models and analyses. You’ll frame problems, wrangle data, build and validate models, and explain results to non-technical stakeholders.

You’ll work with the classic Python data stack and modern platforms like Microsoft Fabric and Palantir Foundry, deploying analytics on cloud providers. This role values impact and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in data science or applied analytics.
• Strong Python skills across the standard data stack (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn).
• Solid statistical foundations: hypothesis testing, regression, experimental design, and distinguishing signal from noise.
• Knowledge of cloud/data platforms and their data science components (Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks, Palantir).
• Ability to communicate analytical results clearly to business stakeholders and collaborate with engineers/products.

Responsibilities

• Translate business problems into analytical solutions: define hypotheses, metrics, and modeling approaches.
• Explore, clean, and prepare data using Python (pandas, NumPy).
• Build, validate, and tune machine learning models for classification, regression, forecasting, segmentation, and recommendations.
• Design experiments: A/B tests and causal analysis.
• Communicate findings via clear visuals and narratives for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with data engineers and ML/AI engineers to productionize models and monitor drift.
