Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a data scientist to turn ambiguous business questions into deployable models and analyses. You will frame problems, wrangle data with pandas/NumPy, and build/validate models while explaining results to non-Python audiences.

You'll work with Microsoft Fabric, Palantir Foundry, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and contribute to diverse analytics projects across enterprise data platforms. Fluent English and Polish are required, and you must reside in Poland.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years in data science or applied analytics with models and analyses that reached production,

Responsibilities

• Translate business problems into analytical solutions: define hypotheses, metrics, and modeling approaches.
• Explore, clean, and prepare data with Python (pandas, NumPy) from structured and semi-structured sources.
• Build, validate, and tune ML models for classification, regression, forecasting, segmentation, and recommendation (scikit-learn, XGBoost, statsmodels).
• Design and analyze experiments: A/B tests, hypothesis testing, causal analysis.
• Work with enterprise data platforms like Microsoft Fabric and Palantir Foundry; build pipelines and operational workflows.
• Communicate findings through visualizations and narratives tailored to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with data engineers on data quality and availability; move models from notebook to production.
• Monitor deployed models for drift and retraining needs.
