Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking data scientists who turn ambiguous business questions into models and analyses that get used. You’ll frame problems, wrangle data, build and validate models, and explain numbers to people who don’t speak Python.

You’ll use pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn, and work on platforms like Microsoft Fabric and Palantir Foundry with Azure, AWS, or GCP. Your day-to-day will include pipelines, notebooks, and delivering analytics inside a real organization’s data ecosystem.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years in data science or applied analytics.
• Strong Python skills across the standard data stack (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn).
• Solid statistical foundations: hypothesis testing, regression, experimental design.
• Knowledge of at least one cloud/data platform and its data science components (Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks, Palantir).
• Fluent English and Polish; residing in Poland.
• Ability to communicate analytical results clearly to business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Translate business problems into analytical solutions and define hypotheses and metrics.
• Explore, clean, and prepare data using Python (pandas, NumPy).
• Build, validate, and tune ML models for classification, regression, forecasting, and more.
• Design and analyze experiments: A/B tests and causal analysis.
• Work with enterprise data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric and Palantir Foundry.
• Collaborate with data engineers and ML/AI engineers to move models to production.
• Monitor deployed models for drift and degradation; retrain as needed.
