Job summary

Sii Poland in Poland is seeking a data scientist who turns ambiguous business questions into actionable models and analyses. You’ll frame problems, wrangle data, build and validate models, and explain results to non-technical stakeholders.

You'll work with the Python stack (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn) and enterprise platforms like Microsoft Fabric and Palantir Foundry. The role offers growth, collaboration with experts, and a path to impact real business outcomes.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years in data science or applied analytics, with models and analyses that made it past the prototype stage.
• Strong Python skills across the standard data stack (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn).
• Solid statistical foundations: hypothesis testing, regression, experimental design, and knowing when a result is real vs noise.
• Knowledge of at least one cloud/data platform and its data science components (Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks, Palantir).
• Ability to communicate analytical results clearly to business stakeholders and influence decisions with data.
• Fluent English and Polish; residing in Poland.

Responsibilities

• Translate business problems into analytical solutions: define hypotheses, choose metrics, and select the right modeling approach.
• Explore, clean, and prepare data using Python, working with structured and semi-structured sources of varying quality.
• Build, validate, and tune machine learning models for classification, regression, forecasting, segmentation, and recommendations.
• Design and analyze experiments: A/B tests, hypothesis testing, and causal analysis.
• Work with Microsoft Fabric and Palantir Foundry for notebooks, pipelines, and operational workflows.
• Communicate findings through clear visualizations and narratives for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with data engineers and ML/AI engineers to move models from notebook to production; monitor drift and retraining.
